[Morning after the rave - Nina]
As a general rule, Lily didn't regret things.
Waking up beside Nina, though, she realized she wasn't sure the other woman would view what had happened the previous night the same way. Of course, part of what she liked so much about Nina was that she was never entirely sure how she might react to anything. Every so often she would manage to surprise Lily completely and she liked that. It was part of why they were waking up in the same bed in the first place.
The sun was already pouring through the slated windows and Lily rose from the bed, reaching over to open them entirely, letting the light into the room. She was a little dehydrated and there was a dull pressure in her temples, but given what she'd taken the night before, she felt better than expected. Still, a couple advil would have been welcome at that moment.
Pouring herself some water, she turned back to the bed, watching Nina. In New York, she hadn't thought much about what Nina had thought had gone on between them. As far as she was concerned, it had only been a dream, but now she was wondering. Was this something Nina had wanted all along?
In the end, she figured it didn't matter. It had happened now, not then, not earlier, and Lily didn't care to spend much time looking back.

Not so long ago, she would have smiled at the thought. Now, she cringed, her stomach rolling over sickly, and she groaned, pressure hammering behind her eyes before she'd even opened them.
But she wasn't home. It was the island, and it was morning and she was waking up with Lily in the room, naked under Lily's sheets. She sat up blearily, holding the sheet against her chest and rubbing at her eyes, her hair falling in a mess around her face.
"Hi," she croaked, her voice hoarse from sleep, and from the excitement from the night before, most of which she only remembered bits and pieces.

"I feel like I slept for a year," she said, raking her hand through her hair, trying to pull the tangled strands off her face. "And not in the good way." Things could be worse, but that pressure in her temples was still there and her shoulders ached, though that might have had less to do with the sleep and more to do with what she and Nina had been doing before that.

"I don't even remember coming back here."

If she didn't remember, though, Lily had no problem trying to jog her memory.
"I think we were mostly holding each other up by the time we headed back here," she admitted with a small, sly smile.

"I thought I'd dreamed it," she admitted, then, with a roll of her eyes, she added, "Again."

"I would've been insulted if you'd forgotten," she said, but she was clearly teasing, her grin still present. "Jesus, what a night."

She couldn't believe that she'd lost herself so completely.

Though, it was far from the first time she'd found herself under the influence.

"We could always find more, you know," she said. "We don't have to wait for there to be a party like that."
