When their roles are posted, Lily smiles knowingly at Nina across the small crowd of mostly disappointed dancers, then crosses over to her and tells her they're going to have a party to celebrate. She tells Nina to invite whoever she wants, says she'll host it, it'll happen this weekend, then she disappears to make plans. She leaves Nina without time to protest on purpose.

On the night of the party, she has drinks and food set out in her kitchen. She's invited most of the people she knows and even a few she doesn't -- dancers, mostly, because she doesn't want to leave them out -- and there's already music playing even before anyone has arrived. The intention is to be casual, relaxed, but there are pills in Lily's pocket, for anyone who knows her well enough to ask, for anyone she thinks might need to relax a little.

Nina's doing better now, but Lily has no problem helping her come out of her shell if it comes to that. And she has no problem helping anyone else either.

"I don't know, would it annoy them if I told them," I say, giving a cruel grin as I kiss her again. Anyone who asks a question like that deserves to be punched in the face or very disturbed by the answer.

"Hn, probably. Might make them angry more than annoyed." Cass replied, turning her head as he moved to kiss her so that his kiss landed high up her neck. It might have been seen as a brush off but it was deliberate, she much preferred him kissing her neck although perhaps not in public. Leaning into his lips, she let out a little breathless sigh. "They wouldn't ask... maybe Bruce would to find out your intentions."

I give Cass a playful bite on her neck, a warning, although it's probably encouraging more than anything else.

"My intentions?"

Even I don't know what my intentions are. I just want her to be happy like she deserves. I don't know if that qualifies as 'intentions' or not.

Her fingers slipped a little, eyes closing as she leaned into the playful bite. The sharp contact of teeth on skin making her breath catch and her lips curl into a small smile.

"Hn, yes. That's what they say in movies, they sit down the man and ask about intentions and sometimes they threaten them with dismemberment or put their feet in cement shoes." Cass replied simply, pressing against Kaine slightly for support.

"He's suppose to be a great detective," I tell her, pulling her closer to me and enjoying the feeling of her warmth against me. It's something I've gotten used to.

"He'll have to figure it out."

"World's finest," Cass said simpy, letting herself be pulled closer before she slipped her arms around him and his back. Lifting her head, she turned into him and kissed his lips softly. "He'll like you. So will Barbara. I know she will if you're not hn... an idiot."

I gave a snort, knowing that while she's trying to be nice, there's no chance that Barbara or Batman will ever like me. They wouldn't even like me if I wasn't with Cassandra, I'm sure they'll hate me even more because of that.

"They're not going to like me," I murmur against her mouth. "But I don't care."

"You don't?" Cass asked softly, smiling a little against his lips. She could feel the heat from him, from his body. It was a distraction, she should be focused but she didn't care because she loved him. "I'm glad. Hn, are you partied out yet?"

"If you want to leave, we can go," I tell her. I'm not all that much more uncomfortable here than I am in other social situations. I'm not going out of my way to chat people up, but it's not completely miserable.

"If you want to stay and talk to more of the dancers, that's fine too."

"We should go, I have to patrol soon and I would like to..." Cass let her voice trail off, looking at Kaine with a clear look that gave him an idea of her intentions of what she would like to. Sliding her hand up, she leaned up to kiss him pulling on the bottom of his lip with her teeth. "Let's go to our home. I'll talk to the dancers later."

"Mmmmm, okay," I say, giving her a smile. It's no surprise what Cass would like to do. She likes to do that a lot. So do I. Works out nicely that way.

"Let's say goodbye to Lily, then we can head home."

"Hn, okay." Cass said after a moment of pretending to think about it. Cass kissed him slowly, teasingly before pulling back as if she just thought about something. "Then later you can do the dishes."

"It's not like there's any other way they're going to get done," I say. Cleaning is not really Cass's specialty. Chores of any domestic nature aren't really her specialty.

"They would get done... eventually." Cass said. It was a mild fib, she probably really wouldn't do them because she didn't necessarily understand how or the reason why plates should be clean. But there would definitely be clean plates even if she had to go buy new ones everytime they used some. "Barbara is going to teach me cooking."
