When they reach the building, there's no one Lily knows outside, which doesn't surprise her much, given the hour. Besides that, she's sure her friends wouldn't be particularly surprised to see her bringing someone who looks like Kaine home with her. Unlocking the front door, she heads for the stairs instead of the elevator. She's only three floors up and she'd rather just go straight up than have to wait much longer.

The hallway outside her apartment is quiet and she gets her door open quickly, then turns to look at Kaine again, flashing him a grin. "Less than five minutes," she says, backing into the apartment, hooking her fingers in his shirt to tug him along.
