"Oh, come on," Lily says, waving her hand before she takes a sip of her beer. "I mean, I appreciate the modesty on you, you're one of the few it seems like it's working for, but just take the compliment." And everyone, as far as she's concerned, has their own ways to be interesting. Everyone has a story and Lily likes knowing them. She likes learning about people and it isn't always about discovering ways to manipulate them.

"Besides, everyone is interesting in their own way," she says.
